My son is going to receive his bachelor's degree at Pomona College commencement and graduate on Sunday. Pomona is one of the most selective liberal arts colleges in the world. I still remember my applying for admission to Pomona from China over 30 years ago and receiving the rejection letter shortly afterwards. Now, my son is going to graduate from Pomona, I'm really proud of him. There's a Chinese saying, "We all hope that our next generation will outachieve us and sometimes they did just that(青出于蓝而胜于蓝)".
