Last year, during one of the stay-home order periods in the COVID-19 pandemic, I ordered a 24-inch printer from hp.com. Before the pandemic, I sometimes made stops at newspaper vending machines to pick up a copy of one of my favorite newspapers on my way to grocery. Last year, I found that the newspaper company offers free online download, so I ordered the full-size printer from HP. The printer has removed the need of my trips to the newspaper vending machines. When I felt like reading that newspaper, I sat down and waited for a copy of the paper to come out of the printer. Over 30 million Americans have been tested positive at one time in the pandemic, that leaves over 300 milion Americans(over 90%) who are either tested negative or not tested. I think each one of us who are not tested positive has in all likelihood made behavior changes to try to prevent ourselves from getting infected and keep up the availability of our shared hospital resources. In my case, I think my HP printer helped in that regard. Again, I'm thankful for all the essential workers for the risks they have taken, especially in the early stage of uncertainty and fear, the grocery clerks, the hospital staff, the retail store workers, the letter, package, and newspaper carriers, and the recycle truck drivers. I hope the vaccine will finally do the virus in.
