I bought my house from a dude of advanced age twenty years ago. He left a few cans of wood sealer in the backyard. I thought that they might be a hint from him, that he wanted to tell me to periodically preserve the deck wood in the backyard with those cans. I even went to Home Depot to get a few more cans, but I never ended up applying them to the deck wood for forgotten reasons. Finally, three deck beams started to rotten from the rainwater damage, I had to spend many hours and several hundred dollars to fix them. There's an ancient Chinese saying, "If you don't listen to people of advanced age, you'll be imminently losing some money." I agree.| Feng |
